YMCA campground in Forsyth County vandalized

August 19, 2013
CUMMING, Ga. — Someone tipped over four porta-potties, tore canvas tents and threw life preservers around a YMCA campground, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.

On Aug. 6, an employee of the campground at 2210 Turner Road told deputies someone vandalized the property.

The employee said the campground recently closed for the summer and the last time she was there was Aug. 2.

Then a neighbor called the employee and told her someone vandalized the property.

Deputies said four porta-potties were overturned along with picnic tables, canoes and paddleboards.

The vandals tore down a volleyball net, ripped a canvas tent, stripped wood planks from changing rooms and threw life preservers off hangers.
