Thief empties Forsyth resident's piggy banks

June 17, 2013
CUMMING, Ga. — Someone entered a woman's home and stole several miscellaneous items, including cash from her children's piggybanks, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.

On June 3, a woman in the 4000 block of Picklesimer Road told deputies it took her a while to notice something was wrong when she returned home from a day at the pool.

The woman saw the window in her daughter's room open and a shelving unit broken.

She checked her daughter's piggybank and about $40 in change was missing. She then checked her son's piggybank in his room and about $40 in change was missing, too.

A deactivated credit card, $85 in cash and a spare pair of keys to her Oldsmobile were also missing.
