Fraudulent order delivery halted

May 20, 2013
CUMMING, Ga. — A woman had a computer delivered to her home that she didn't order, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.

About 5:30 p.m. May 7, FedEx delivered a Hewlett-Packard computer to the 8000 block of Innisbrook Run.

The homeowner told deputies she called HP to ask why she got a computer she didn't order.

She said while she was on the phone with HP, FedEx called her and asked for the correct suite number for an address off Satellite Boulevard for the delivery of another computer.

FedEx returned the computers to the sender after the woman reported the fraudulent activity.

The woman said FedEx totaled the two orders at about $1,875.
