ROSWELL, Ga. – A Whitehall Way resident gave up his pit bull April 25, after it got loose and frightened a neighbor.
According to police, the pit bull escaped from his owner's home and ran to a neighbor's home. It entered the backyard, knocking down a gate, and tried to get into the back door to the home. The owner found and took control of the dog; however he was charged with having a loose animal. The owner then told police he was surrendering control of the dog to authorities. It was taken to the pound.
