Thief posts stolen items on Internet in Forsyth

May 06, 2013
CUMMING, Ga. — A woman said she found her missing possessions for sale on a social media website, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.

A woman in the 5500 block of Manor Park Drive told deputies April 22 her home was broken into sometime between March 28 and April 4 while she and her family were away on vacation.

The woman said she noticed boots were missing, but only thought that she had misplaced them. Then she said she saw an online post advertising the same boots for sale. She said she looked further down the posting to find that several purses and wallets that looked similar to ones she owned were also for sale. When she checked her home for the items, she said she was unable to locate them and called the police.
