2 Cumming racers can't beat the law

April 28, 2013
CUMMING, Ga. — Two men broke 120 mph on Ga. 400 northbound April 10 before driving past a deputy on duty.

The deputy said he observed a red Mitsubishi in the left lane and a silver Acura in the right lane traveling at a high rate of speed at 1 p.m. by Buford Highway on Ga. 400.

The deputy said he pursued the two vehicles and clocked the Mitsubishi at 121 mph and the Acura at 120 mph before pulling both vehicles over by the Bald Ridge Marina exit.

The deputy asked both men if they were racing, and both men said no. The deputy arrested them for racing and reckless driving.

Taylor Travis Lee Jones, 21, of Fourth Rail Lane, Cumming, and Toby Jayson Crittenden, 19, of Greenfield Lane, Cumming, were both arrested for reckless driving.
