Vandals drove car through a church's ball field

April 23, 2013
CUMMING, Ga. — Someone drove their car through a church's ball field causing ruts and damage, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.

Between April 7 and April 14, the caretaker of New Light Baptist Church, 6946 Wills Road, told deputies someone drove through the church's ball field damaging the grounds.

The caretaker said someone has driven through the field several times within the last three months, but this is the first time he has reported it.

The church is going to put surveillance cameras at the field in case the incident happens again.

The caretaker said the cost to fix the field would be at least $500.
