$50K 'outlaw' painting stolen from an Alpharetta business

April 23, 2013
FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A thief stole a pricey painting from an Alpharetta business, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.

At 11:45 p.m. April 14, employees of Renewed Traditions, 725 Branch Drive, told deputies they went to the store after they noticed a light on and an open door at the side of the building.

One of the employees went to his office and saw his door was kicked-in and his painting of historical outlaws Frank and Jesse James missing. The brothers were accused of participating in crimes committed against Union during the Civil War.

Three other office doors had evidence of forced entry, according to deputies.

The painting is valued at $50,000.
