Distraught gunman dies in a suicide in Roswell

February 15, 2013
ROSWELL, Ga. – A man shot himself Feb. 3 after threatening his girlfriend with a pistol, which triggered the SWAT team to come out. He killed himself before police could enter the home.

Police responded at 2:01 a.m. to the Eves Place home after the girlfriend, who lived with the victim, called 911.

She said Andrew Krupansky, 29, was depressed and had pointed a gun at her. The girlfriend fled the home when he threatened her.

"They had gotten into an argument and she walked outside to call his mother to tell her what was going on," said Roswell Police Spokeswoman Lisa Holland. "He went outside to ask her who she was talking to. He became upset and went back inside the house threatening to kill himself."

Police set up a perimeter and saw the man walking around the interior of the house.

"Officers tried to communicate with him, but he was deaf," Holland said.

Police tried to contact the victim through his mother, who sent him texts.

Just after 4 a.m., a single gunshot was heard from inside the home.

"When police heard the gunshot, SWAT was called in to sweep the house," Holland said.

SWAT team members entered the house to find the man dead in an apparent suicide.

    So tell us, "witness"...what happened?
    February 18, 2013 | 09:50 PM

Inquiring minds want to know what the "facts" are if these reports aren't accurate. Keep in mind that there will be a record of the phone calls to the mother by the girlfriend as well as the police, and texts from the mother to her son...as reported in this news story.

So tell us what happened. Put it on the record here for all to see if you think you know something others do not.

    Better to Pray
    May 31, 2013 | 12:22 PM

The only ones who really know are the ones who experienced it. Most of this is true, some of the details are off. Better to pray for the victim's family, friends, and former girlfriend.
