ALPHARETTA, Ga. - A man was shot and killed Monday night, Jan. 28. Alpharetta police are still searching for the shooter.
Police received a call just before 6:30 p.m. From a man claiming to witness a shooting on Whitmore Ridge, a neighborhood just off Old Milton Parkway near North Point Parkway.
"He called 911 to say he witnessed the shooting of his friend," said Alpharetta Public Safety Spokesman George Gordon.
When police and emergency crews arrived, they found a man shot once in the abdomen.
The victim was taken to North Fulton Hospital where he was pronounced dead about 10:30 p.m.
