CUMMING, Ga. — A moving truck caught fire while sitting in a neighborhood, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.
At 3:30 a.m., Jan. 6, a woman in the 1500 block of Lakeside Trail told deputies she heard a loud explosion and looked out her window and saw a Penske moving truck on fire.
The deputy inspected the truck and said in his report he could smell burnt rubber, plastic and an unknown chemical. The deputy continued to walk around the truck and found a container near the rear passenger tire.
The victim told deputies he was unaware the truck had caught fire. He said his father rented the truck to help move some belongings. The victim said he didn't know anyone who might want to hurt him.
