Thieves steal computer gear from church

January 08, 2013
FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Thieves stole a computer server from an Alpharetta church, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's report.

At 6:40 a.m. on Dec. 27, the pastor of Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 5390 McGinnis Ferry Road, came in to the church and saw his office door open and the key hanging from the doorknob.

When the pastor went to turn on his computer, he discovered it didn't work. He went to the church's server room and found wires unplugged and the back-up server missing.

The server contained church members' names and phone numbers, but no financial information other than donations made.

The server is valued at $800.
