Smoke bombs found in Forsyth County mailbox

January 08, 2013
FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A vandal placed smoke bombs inside a woman's mailbox, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's report.

At 9 p.m. Dec. 30, a woman in the 8200 block of Southport Terrace said she returned home and noticed smoke billowing from her mailbox. She alerted the security guard in her neighborhood and he told her to call authorities.

When the deputies arrived, they inspected the mailbox and found five small round multi-colored smoke bombs in the mailbox.

There was no damage to the mailbox.
