Fishing poles stolen from shed in Cumming

January 08, 2013
CUMMING, Ga. — A thief took 50 fishing poles with reels from a shed, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's report.

Between 6 p.m. Dec. 28 and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 30, a woman reported someone entered her deceased father's shed in the 5000 block of Hurt Bridge Drive and took several hunting and fishing items.

The thief broke down an air conditioning unit and entered the shed through a back window, a deputy said.

In addition to the stolen fishing poles and reels were two pairs of Mossy Oak camouflage overalls, two pairs of camouflage Under Armor pants and six Under Armor jackets.

Many items of value were left in the shed, including a fishing boat and tree stand.

The clothing and fishing poles are valued at $2,000.
