CUMMING, Ga. — Thieves hit up homes under construction for copper wiring, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's report.
On Dec. 7, a construction supervisor working in the 3000 block of Whitfield Avenue told deputies someone stole 60 feet of copper wiring from the home.
The thief used a torch to cut the wiring from the breaker box. The home is under construction and could easily be entered through a window or door.
The cost of the wiring and damage is estimated at $1,500.
On Dec. 10, the same construction supervisor told deputies someone entered a home under construction in the 3000 block of Carrick Road and stole a copper tubing line set.
