FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A thief stole a woman's purse from her sport utility vehicle while she jogged, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.
At 4:10 p.m. Dec. 14, a woman told deputies she parked her 2007 Toyota 4Runner at the McFarland Greenway, 1647 McFarland Parkway, to go for a run. When she returned at 4:30 p.m., she noticed her rear passenger window was broken.
The thief stole her purse and wallet that contained credit, debit cards and a driver's license.
The victim called her bank to report the cards missing and $462 was already charged to one of the cards.
These petty crimes can have a negative effect on the reputation of the Greenway as a great place for people to gather outdoors. It looks like the days of leaving your car doors unlocked in Forsyth County have been over for awhile. Jolly Roger
