FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A 21-year-old Forsyth County man was arrested Dec.6 and charged with the burglaries of four homes in the Bethelview Road area.

Austin Thomas Schwartzenberger, formerly of Lancaster Circle in Cumming, turned himself in to patrol officers last night after investigators had issued a look-out for him. Schwartzenberger was taken to the Forsyth County Detention Center where he was charged with four counts of burglary. He is being held without bond.

According to Sgt. Scotty Spriggs of the property Crime unit of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division, Schwartzenberger has been charged with burglarizing the following homes:

 3500 block of Ballybandon Court in Fieldstone Park on Nov. 26

 5800 block of Bennett Parkway in Bethelview Downs on Nov. 29

 5200 block of Huntington Crest Lane in Coventry on Nov. 30

 6900 block of Polo Fields Parkway in the Polo Fields on Dec. 5.

Spriggs said that investigators are also looking into the possibility that Schwartzenberger was involved in at least two more home burglaries – one in the Polo Fields subdivision and another in Hampton's Grant subdivision.

"The suspect would ring the doorbell of the home. When no one answered, he would go around to the back of the home and enter the residence through a window," Spriggs said. "He was taking items that he could easily transport like jewelry, wallets, IPADS. Then, he would take these items to gold shops or pawn shops so he could get cash for them."

Spriggs said fingerprints were found at the residences that led to the identity of the suspect.
