December 04, 2012 ALPHARETTA, Ga. – A shoplifting suspect allegedly ran from store employees Nov. 24, dropping her coat and cellphone behind her.
Employees of the Homegoods store on North Point Parkway told police they saw Lisa Weaver, 43, of Forest Park, take another customer's jacket from an unattended cart and place it over her own cart, which was filled with goods. Weaver then allegedly tried to leave the store without paying for the items.
When employees stopped Weaver, she allegedly dodged around them and ran, but not before they pulled off her coat. Inside the jacket was a phone suspected of belonging to Weaver. A check of the phone's Facebook profile showed Weaver.
This is the third time this month Weaver allegedly stole from this store. A check of the vehicle she drove off in returned Weaver as the owner.
