CUMMING, Ga. — Three men attempted but failed to steal $2,000 worth of AA and D size batteries, according to a Cumming Police incident report.
At 3 p.m. Nov. 24, a store manager of BJ's, 1725 Market Place Boulevard, told officers three men tried to push a cart full of batteries out of the front entrance of the store.
A customer entering the store used her cart to block the thieves' cart. One of the thieves pretended to have a seizure to provide a distraction.
The thieves took off without the batteries in a blue 1998 Kia Sephia.
