ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Two young men from Cumming were arrested Nov. 6 after allegedly breaking into cars on Winship Court.
Police were called to the homes of victims after one resident said he heard noises outside his home. He looked out and saw a young man in a gray hoodie rummaging through his car, get out and then get into a neighbor's car, setting off a car alarm.
Taken from the vehicles were a brand new cellphone and a GPS device. The suspect drove off in a red, four-door sedan.
A car was found on Old Milton Parkway matching the description and license plate of the suspect's vehicle and was pulled over. Inside were two youths – a 17-year-old in a gray hoodie and the driver, Arsalan Khalid Khan, 21, of Cumming. Inside the car were the stolen phone and GPS. Khan said the phone was his mother's.
Both men were arrested and charged with entering autos, theft by taking and theft by receiving stolen property.
