Pharmacist in Cumming receives forged prescriptions

CUMMING, Ga. — A pharmacist told deputies someone dropped off forged prescriptions at her pharmacy, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.
On Oct. 17, a pharmacist from Kroger, 1595 Peachtree Parkway, said a man dropped off two prescriptions, one for Hydrocodone and another for Alprazolam, both are controlled substances.
The pharmacist contacted the prescribing doctor and was told the patient listed was bogus. The prescriptions were also not in the format the doctor uses.
Deputies were unable to find any information about the patient listed on the prescriptions.
