October 09, 2012 JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — Two men were arrested Sept. 25 after allegedly trying to open bank accounts using false identification and stolen Social Security numbers.
Employees of the Chase Bank on State Bridge Road called police at 5 p.m. after Marvel D. Malone, 24, and Clevonte Tshon Lewis, 20, both of unknown addresses, entered the bank and tried to open bank accounts. Malone allegedly had several accounts already with the bank, all with the same name but different Social Security numbers and similar addresses. Employees said Malone claimed to have no accounts with the bank, although security footage showed he opened another account a week earlier. Lewis also provided a fake ID to try to open an account.
Malone was charged with forgery. Lewis was charged with giving false information to an officer.
