CUMMING, Ga. — A thief stole a woman's purse from her car while she was walking on the Big Creek Greenway on Sept. 24, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.
The victim told deputies that at 5:40 p.m., she put her purse in her trunk, locked her car and set the alarm on her 2010 Chevrolet Impala before her walk. When she returned to get her purse out of the trunk, it was gone.
The driver's side door was damaged, indicating the thief used a tool to tamper with the door and enter the car.
The victim's purse and contents were valued at $10.
