iPhones taken by strangers in Milton

October 01, 2012
MILTON, Ga. — A group of people allegedly stole a pair of new iPhone 4s phones Sept. 23, when they drove off without the owner.

The victim, who lives in Atlanta, told police she just bought the two phones from the Sprint store on Windward Parkway. She had arrived at the store in a car driven by three other people she didn't know very well. In fact, she only knew the name of one of them, and she did not know exactly where he lived except somewhere on Fairburn Road in Atlanta.

When she bought the phones, she placed them in the car and then went back into the store. When she came back out again, she realized her ride had disappeared. The one suspect she did know had asked if she would buy him a phone on her plan and let him pay her back. She declined. Both phones are valued at $425.
