November 26, 2013CUMMING, Ga. — The Collection at Forsyth announced its holiday kickoff event will be held Saturday, Nov. 30 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
To start this holiday season and to celebrate the highly anticipated arrival of Santa Claus, the Collection, 410 Peachtree Parkway in Cumming, will host its first annual tree lighting ceremony starting at 5 p.m., featuring a brand-new, 50-foot tree.
Visitors will be able to participate in various children's activities and enjoy holiday music by the First Redeemer Church and American Idol finalist Phil Stacey.
To continue the holiday celebration through the month of December, visitors can partake in the Collection's Saturdays in December events (Dec. 7, 14 and 21), which feature story time with Santa Claus in the park from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Families are encouraged to capture the magic of the holidays with complimentary carriage rides and photos with Santa from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for those who have their own camera to use.
"The holiday season is a great time for families to start new traditions and make memories together," said Joe Turnbaugh, Collection at Forsyth property manager. "We are excited to have the opportunity to host events throughout the upcoming weeks that can make the Collection the community's go-to place for seeing Santa and enjoying the holiday spirit."
