November 26, 2013FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, South Forsyth High School (SFHS) recently inducted its first members into the new SFHS Athletic Hall of Fame.
Plaques recognizing honorees are on display in the foyer of the school gymnasium.
The inductees are members of the 1994 AA state champion softball team, along with Johnny Tallant, coach of the 1994 softball team who retired with 413 career wins, four region championships and a state championship, and Shannan Dunlap Hamil, AA individual state champion tennis player.
Keith Gravitt, the school's athletic director, said the project has been in discussion for a long time and he's excited to see it kick off.
"We look forward to continuing this recognition project and selecting more deserving inductees from our school's rich history of athletic successes," Gravitt said.
