November 13, 2013CUMMING, Ga. — The third annual Will to Win 5K will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 at First Baptist Church, 1597 Sawnee Drive in Cumming.
The race will celebrate and honor the life of Will Abernathy.
Will touched many people in his community and across the world with his determination and bravery in battling two cancers, stage IV neuroblastoma and treatment-related leukemia.
Will was 5 years old when he passed away July 16.
To register, go to www.active.com and search keyword "Will to Win 5K," or register in person at Totally Running, 405 Peachtree Parkway, Suite 105 in Cumming.
T-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Activities for Will to Win 2013 include an inflatable slide and bounce house, face painting, DJ, popcorn, shopping, miniature horses, food vendors, hayride, mobile dairy barn and Rainbow Loom crafts.
All funds raised through the run support research for pediatric cancer. The Will Abernathy Believe Fund is managed by Cure Childhood Cancer.
