NORTH FULTON, Ga. – Scouts John Foley and Zachary Martin Fischel have completed their Boards of Review and now hold the rank of Eagle Scout.
For his Eagle leadership project, Foley of Troop 629, Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church, recruited his fellow Scouts to clean up the shot put area used by the track team at Johns Creek High School. The shot put was muddy and unkempt.
He laid down gravel, added azaleas and mulch to the area. For the track spectators, he also added benches to the area.
Fischel of Troop 463, Sandy Springs United Methodist Church, built a new staircase at the Sandy Springs United Methodist Church Activity Center.
The old staircase was dilapidated had become dangerous and overgrown. To improve the accessibility and safety, Fischel created the design and then led a group of Scouts to build a new staircase and safety ramp over the top of the existing one.
