JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – More than 1,000 visitors turned out for the inaugural Taste of Johns Creek Walk and Family Festival last Saturday. Merchants and restaurants were pleased with the turnout.
There were a lot of things for children to do and a lot of food to be sampled by visitors of all ages.
The event was co-sponsored by the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce. The chamber's Robin Buckley said most of the visitors came between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., although the event lasted until 5 p.m. Comments were positive, Buckley said.
"The people were really pleased. They had nothing but good things to say. And the vendors were happy with the turnout," Buckley said. "The restaurants did really well. We certainly hope to bring it back next spring."
