May 20, 2013
FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — The North Central Georgia Habitat for Humanity held a dedication ceremony for the Ellis family May 11 in Gainesville. The dedication was special for Yvonne Ellis, the new homeowner, not only because she received a new house, but also because it was Mother's Day weekend.

Ellis has two sons, Antonio, 6, and Avari, 5. The two boys were very excited to see their new home and couldn't wait to play in their backyard.

"I now have a wonderful home that I can raise my sons in," Ellis said. "It is truly a blessing to have a place to call home."

The home was sponsored by several community organizations including Publix Super Markets Charities, Cisco, DataScan, State Farm and United Way of Forsyth County. These organizations not only provided the funds to build the home, but also the volunteer labor.
