JOHNS CREEK, Ga. Parents looking for something fun and educational for youngsters to do this summer can choose from 23 exciting camps at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center in Johns Creek.

Located on 46 acres of woodlands, nature trails, a winding creek, pavilions, historic buildings and animal exhibits, Autrey Mill helps children connect with nature and history.

Registration for each camp remains open until it fills up, but some are already reaching their limit. The camps start the first week in June and run until early August.

For young people interested in history and how they did things back in the old days, Autrey Mill offers eight different Heritage summer camps. Heritage camps explore life through engaging activities, games, crafts and exploration of historic buildings.

Camps include Southern Manners, Mythical Friends of the Forest and several that focus on specific periods in American history. Autrey Mill has also brought back its popular Heritage Doll camp.
