Lamb Chop, Lewis to visit Roswell: Part of Parkinson's fundraiser April 12, 13

ROSWELL, Ga. Fans of the rascally puppet Lamb Chop can see her back in action April 12 and 13 in Roswell to benefit the Wilkins Parkinson's Foundation.

The two performances feature lamp Chop with Mallory Lewis, daughter of original puppeteer Shari Lewis. The performances will benefit research into Parkinson's Disease.

Lewis and Lamb Chop have performed in hundreds of events, both live and televised. An award-winning author, Lewis has penned 20 children's books. Her performances are filled with contemporary music, topical comedy and utilities vintage footage of Shari and lamb Chop.

Lewis' father was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.

"My father was diagnosed with Parkinson's more than a decade ago. He has the Deep Brain Stimulators which are a miracle, but still not a cure, and as they only mask the symptoms, the disease continues to progress. For my father and for all the mothers and fathers, we need a cure."

The Wilkins Parkinson's Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure and treatment of Parkinsons's Disease.

The events April 12 and 13 will be at 6:30 p.m. at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church, 11330 Woodstock Road, Roswell. Admission if $15 for adults.
