ROSWELL, Ga. The Six String Social Club is bringing the internationally acclaimed husband-and-wife duo Acoustic Eidolon to Roswell Saturday, April 13.

Hannah Alkire and Joe Scott present a unique evening of music and story, as they take audiences on a musical journey through the world that includes Celtic, Flamenco, folk and world influences.

Based in Colorado, Acoustic Eidolon, featuring Scott on double neck guitjo and Alkire on cello, has graced stages throughout the U.S., Europe, Australia and Canada. Scott and Alkire created their original sound by mixing their diverse musical backgrounds and their unusual instrumentation.

That begins with the one-of-a-kind double neck guitjo, an instrument designed by Scott. The guitjo has been praised by USA Today as a "beautiful harp-like sounding instrument like nothing we've ever heard before."

The double-neck guitjo has 14 strings and Scott has developed his own style and technique, playing both necks simultaneously.

Classically trained cellist Alkire studied with G. Magyar of the Hungarian String Quartet and is recognized internationally for her stunning tone and emotional, impeccable playing and for taking the cello places it's never been before.
