March 25, 2013FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — This week, the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation invited campers to begin setting up their campsites at Shady Grove Campground, 7800 Shadburn Ferry Road in Cumming, on the shores of Lake Lanier.
The campground will remain open until Nov. 3.
"Shady Grove Campground's popularity grows each year," said Parks and Recreation Director Jerry Kinsey.
In addition to the more than 110 campsites for campers to enjoy, the 109-acre campground's amenities include a beach and swim area, boat ramp with courtesy dock, group campsites with picnic shelters, playground, tent camping areas and campsites with water and 30 and 50 amp power hookups.
Daily fees for campground include:
30 amp electric site with water is $26
50 amp electric site with water is $28
Tent camping site with no hookups is $18
North group camping is $155
South group camping is $135
Visitor fee is $2
Dump station is $15
"During the past two camping seasons, our campsite rentals have continued to increase. We are very proud to offer such a fantastic amenity here in Forsyth County," said Parks and Rec Assistant Director Tommy Bruce.
