CUMMING, Ga. — Money raised from a car show on March 16 will go toward cancer research.
The fourth annual car show held in the Forsyth County Board of Education's parking lot raised money for Relay for Life, a fundraising tool for the American Cancer Society. Money came from the sale of concessions at the event and entry fees for the cars. According to Lynn Gilder, the organizer of the event, the event raised between $3,000 and $4,000.
The event drew hundreds of attendees and about 80 entries to compete in the show. Guests voted for the top 25 best entries and overall best car in show.
"We really hope the event will grow and more people will come out in following years to support us," Gilder said. "It's a real good event for the community."
