FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. —Keep Forsyth County Beautiful is participating in the "Great American Cleanup, Making a Difference in Georgia" event.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 22, at the Washington Street stairs of the Georgia State Capitol at 206 Washington St. SW in Atlanta.
Representatives from the 75 Keep Georgia Beautiful affiliates will facilitate including Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation Executive Director Sarah Visser and Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation President Kevin Perry.
Hundreds of Keep Georgia Beautiful volunteers are expected along with special guest mascots from across the state.
The Great American Cleanup is the nation's largest cleanup event.
Participants will see displays depicting where the Great American Cleanup will take place this year and how much litter was collected last year. They will also receive free seed packets and learn more about how the Great American Cleanup is making a difference in Georgia.
