February 06, 2013 ROSWELL, Ga. — North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) launched their second annual Have a Heart for NFCC's campaign this month.
North Fulton's mayors signed a joint proclamation recognizing February as "Have a Heart for NFCC" month and, "calling upon the citizens to join in the celebration by making a contribution in support of the great work that NFCC is doing to enhance the quality of life in our city."
The purpose of this 28-day campaign is to raise awareness and funds for programs and services offered by NFCC. This year marks 30 years that NFCC has been serving the community.
NFCC's mission is to build self-sufficiency and prevent homelessness and hunger in the community by providing emergency assistance and enrichment programs.
They provide emergency food, shelter, clothing and adult education to more than 15,000 low-income people in the communities of Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton and Mountain Park.
