JOHNS CREEK, Ga. A lot of photos are submitted to the Johns Creek Herald each year; some of them are very good and many of them are great community photos.
Sports Illustrated and National Geographic run spectacular photos every issue, but at the Johns Creek Herald, we are limited to those subjects that are local in nature.
But we want to encourage the people in the community who send in photos every week, and we have decided that the best of the best is this one submitted by the Oxford Mill subdivision.
The ladies of the Oxford Mill subdivision had a great day Oct. 26 at the Atlanta Athletic Club where the Northside Hospital Foundation had their annual Tennis Against Breast Cancer event. More than 100 women from Oxford Mill signed up for a fabulous day of tennis and to raise money for a very worthy cause. In all, more than 450 women comprising teams from around the community participated.
They submitted this photo of the Oxford Mill ladies and won the Herald's selection as Best Submitted Community Photo of 2012.
Way to go Oxford Mill. It doesn't surprise me though. Over and beyond should be the name of the Subdivision Team! congratulations Susan Olson
