NORTH FULTON, Ga. – Nine North Fulton Scouts completed Dec. 6 their Boards of Review for the rank of Eagle Scout.

Those Scouts are:
  • Ross Eric Smith, Roswell, Troop 431, Roswell United Methodist Church

  • Matthew David Hill, Roswell, Troop 1134, St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church

  • Justin Andrew Mahler, Roswell, Troop 431, Roswell United Methodist Church

  • David Maxwell Conner, Roswell, Troop 431, Roswell United Methodist Church

  • Robert James Warren, Johns Creek, Troop 629, Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church

  • William Peter Johns, Roswell, Troop 629, Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church

  • Anthony Christian Hughes, Roswell, Troop 1134, St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church

  • Kevin Michael Wargo, Roswell, Troop 1134, St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church
Roswell High School was the beneficiary of three Eagle Service projects. With help from their fellow Scouts, Smith replaced four benches that were in disrepair and constructed four additional benches.

Conner provided storage and equipment space for the wrestling team by constructing an equipment cubicle and coat racks.

Mahler added and replaced more benches and improved some of the landscaping.

Hill helped the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in its ministries to the poor. He and his team collected the materials for and assembled 500 hygiene kits that were distributed to the needy.

The children’s play area at the Chattahoochee Nature Center now has a new pergola with seating and native plant landscaping thanks to the efforts of the Scouts led by Johns for his Eagle project.

Wargo directed his project to help Roswell Youth Baseball. The facilities at Hembree Park did not allow for efficient practice, so Wargo and his unit rebuilt the bullpens.

Hughes learned of an overgrown, run-down trail at the Archibald Smith Plantation historical site.  With a group of Scouts, the trail was refurbished and helped connect the various trails on the property.

Warren found a way to help the foster care children at Bethany Christian Services. His team collected, repaired and donated bikes to the program for the children to enjoy.
