JOHNS CREEK, Ga. Young athletes in Johns Creek can register for one of several sports being offered this spring by Newtown Recreation through Jan. 31, 2013.
The athletic association's spring programs, based at Johns Creek's Newtown Park, feature soccer, baseball, lacrosse, tennis and girls' running/training.
It also offers instructional classes in soccer and T-ball for youngsters, ages 3 and 4. Non-resident fees may apply. Some age groups may play on fields at local schools.
Check with Newtown Recreation for details and registration. Newtown Park is at 3150 Old Alabama Road.
