December 05, 2012 ALPHARETTA, Ga. – The Alpharetta chapter of Young Men's Service League (YMSL), a nonprofit organization in Alpharetta, partnered with Project Live Love, for the YMSL Ultimate Gift service event to complete several community service projects Nov. 10 in Atlanta.
"It's so important that we cultivate an attitude of living love in this generation and we feel the members of YMSL are up to the challenge," said Drew Benton, Project Live Love founder.
While in Atlanta, members of YMSL worked with project managers from Project Live Love in community outreach activities such as serving soup and socks to homeless men and women, building tables for families in need, assisting in food pantries, painting at homeless shelters and serving lunch to formerly homeless veterans. YMSL members donated over $2,000 to Project Live Love, and fathers and sons worked over 1,109 community service hours. YMSL members usually work together as mother and son teams; however this special day was made for fathers and sons to make a difference in the community.
"The Young Men's Service League Alpharetta Chapter was very excited to partner with Project Live Love for the first ever Ultimate Gift of Service in Georgia," said Denise Fusco of the Alpharetta YMSL. "Our chapter had more than 185 young men and fathers who worked together to assist, serve and support those who are in need in our community."
