JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – This Christmas season can bring a smile of happiness to the faces of needy children with the donation of a toy or game to the city of Johns Creek’s sixth annual Toys for Tots campaign at one of five locations throughout the city.
Donations will be accepted through Dec. 14
“With the economy still struggling, many families are cutting back on their gifts,” said Johns Creek Fire Marshal Chad McGiboney, who is spearheading the program for the city. “Johns Creek residents are generous, big-hearted people. We’re hoping that people will step up and we’ll see more happy kids on Christmas Day. Just a single toy might help a child feel he or she isn’t forgotten.”
Donated toys should be unwrapped, but still in their original packaging.
McGiboney said typically most toys are appropriate for small children, and encouraged people to consider buying toys for youngsters 10 to 12 years old.
