FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Northside Hospital-Atlanta and Northside Hospital-Forsyth have been named two of the nation's top performers on key quality measures by the Joint Commission (TJC), the leading accreditor of healthcare organizations in America.
The two hospitals were recognized by TJC for exemplary performance and achievement in using evidence-based clinical processes that are shown to improve care for heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care.
"We strive to provide the safest care that is based on best practices resulting in consistent quality outcomes," said Janis Dubow, chief nursing officer and vice president of quality improvement, Northside Hospital.
TJC recognizes accredited hospitals that obtain and sustain excellence in accountability measure performance.
Northside Hospital-Atlanta and Northside Hospital-Forsyth are among 620 hospitals being recognized for 2011 (the most recent report), representing the top 18 percent of Joint Commission-accredited hospitals.
