NORTH FULTON, Ga. – The Milton Boy Scout District comprised of the cities of Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek and Milton announced its newest Eagle Scouts, who passed their Board of Review Sept. 27.

Scouts Alex Davis, Jagadeesh Movva, Gray Mitchell and Christopher Shin worked on community projects that included helping the homeless and unemployed, wildlife, recreation and a local school.

Alex Davis of Troop 143, sponsored by Johns Creek United Methodist Church, selected a project to collect items needed by The Edge, a nonprofit group dedicated to helping homeless people find employment.

Davis gathered more than 800 items including folding tables, folding chairs and chair dollies for The Edge's kitchen center along with personal items such as toothpaste, soap, towels and other essentials.

Jagadeesh Movva of Troop 3143, sponsored by Johns Creek United Methodist Church, had a project for the enhancement of the wildlife habitat at the Northeast Spruill Oaks Library.

This project included planting oak trees, adding bushes and flowers next to the stone walkway, building and installing a platform bird feeder, building a wooden storage bench to store the bird food and extending the existing flagstone pathway to create a full loop around the library.

Gray Mitchell of Troop 317, sponsored by Perimeter Church, chose a project to construct three retaining walls for the two archery pits for Camp All-America at Perimeter Church.

Christopher Shin of Troop 10, sponsored by St. Benedict's Catholic Church, had a project to build three 7-foot benches for the courtyard and tennis area of Johns Creek High School.
