November 06, 2012 ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Ever wonder what Alpharetta used to be like? The Alpharetta Historical Society's November meeting might be a good place to start.
Five Alpharetta natives will participate in a panel discussion for this month's meeting. The panelists will be Connie Mashburn, Nan Harman-Dempsey, Hazel Reese, Dorris Goswick and Marjean Birt. AHS members Norman Broadwell and Lynn Sickeler will ask questions of the panelists to learn more about what life was like in Alpharetta years ago. They will also share some favorite stories and there will be opportunity for questions to be taken from the audience.
The Mansell House and Gardens is located at 1835 Old Milton Parkway, Alpharetta. It is a special events facility that can be rented as a special place for families to celebrate the important events of life such as birth, marriages, graduations, reunions, showers, anniversaries, birthdays and christenings.
The Alpharetta Historical Society's November meeting will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Mansell House and Gardens. For more information, call 770-475-9995.
