October 30, 2012 CUMMING, Ga. — Two photographers, three dates and two great causes.
Local photographers Amy Dawkins and Kaylene Fister have teamed up to help families affected by ALS and leukemia.
Their "2 Photographers, 3 Dates, 2 Great Causes" fundraiser aims to assist two families in dealing with the financial challenges typical of illnesses such as these.
"Our goal is to take some of the sting out of the mounting medical bills these families are facing," said Fister, owner of Southern Kiwi Photography.
Dawkins and Fister will offer mini-sessions of $25, which include an 8x10 print.
Lee Dawkins Agency of American Family Insurance will cover the cost of the prints, allowing the two photographers to give 100 percent of the session fees to the families.
Sessions are limited and will be held over three days; Nov. 3, 9 and 10 at locations chosen by the photographers.
