NORTH FULTON, Ga. – Students from Northview High School sold concessions to raise more than $300 for the annual Partnership Walk set for Oct. 28 this year in Centennial Park.
Partnership Walk is an initiative of the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) to raise money and awareness to end global poverty. The annual event is hosted in numerous cities across the United States and features a 1K walk, 5K run, food, entertainment and the Village in Action. One hundred percent of the proceeds go directly to the organization's initiatives.
Selling concessions is just one of many events the Northview students hope to organize this year.
The event was hosted by Northview High School's Kaleidoscope, led by Danish Bhimani, in association with the Will to Live Foundation. The concessions sold included popcorn, water and Peace iced tea. Northview Kaleidoscope aims to raise more than $1,000 and encourage at least 150 diverse students to attend the walk.
