October 03, 2012ROSWELL, Ga. – The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association's "Swing with the Legends" Golf Classic will tee off on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 9 a.m. to benefit the Drake House and help homeless women and children regain their stability.

They now we have 27 children in residence and 14 moms who are all utilizing the resources at Drake House to lift themselves up and out into self-sufficiency.
The Drake House provides residents opportunities such as sessions with a career coach, life skills classes and weekly meetings with a family assessment manager.
"The challenge of funding these programs has become even greater with the weak economy. We are grateful for the support of the MLB Players Alumni Association this year," said Karen Pye, development director of the Drake House.
Individual tickets for the cocktail reception are $30 and a reserved table including eight tickets is $250, which includes a MLB Legend seated at the table.
