September 10, 2012 ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Off Broadway Dance Theatre Music of Alpharetta has announced the cast of their 2012-2013 Off Broadway Kids Musical Theatre Competition Troupe.
The award-winning OBD Kids Troupe is made up of dedicated actors, singers and dancers ranging in age from 8-16, and is currently celebrating its 11th year. This year's cast hails from all over north Atlanta and includes: Owen Claire Smith, Derrick Bass, Laura Sidwell, Kristi Segona, Sydney Lee, Cameron Mullin, Maggie Hill, Emma Nitzken, Maggie O'Neill, David English, Payten Williams, Adrianne Crawford, Emma Bulthuis, Sara Underwood, Paige Underwood, Aline O'Neill, McKenzie Greeson, Alexandria Arasi, Fayhaa Doja, Emma Stratman, Courtney Bass, Katie Horton and Caroline Steinberg.
The troupe will not only perform a local run of their production of Disney's "The Little Mermaid," but will compete at the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta and travel to Disney in February to compete at the National Performing Arts Festival. The OBD Kids group is under the direction of Christian Mayer, with choreography by Shannon Mayer and musical direction by Marsha Lanzo.
