September 06, 2012MILTON, Ga. – Eighty-eight ladies turned out Aug. 23 for the eighth annual Crooked Creek Ladies Round Robin to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The courts and clubhouse were filled to capacity, and the women raised $7,500, with every penny of the money going directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
It was a day of tennis and socializing for a good cause
Sponsors included Jane Hemingway and Brenda Longoria of Georgia Prudential Realty, Heather Silvia and STA, and Bill Osterhold of Signature Tennis. Never Enough Thyme, Walmart and Beverage Depot provided food and drink. Jimmie John's offered a sandwich platter for the team with the most participants and Chik-Fil-A contributed coupons for free sandwiches. STA and the pros at Crooked Creek, Longhorn Steakhouse, Brooklyn Joe's, Zola's, Hudson Grille, Johnny's, Big Peach, Ippolitos, El Molcajete, BB&T, Stacy Swenton, Roaster's, Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre, Charlene Gabriel and Carol Hamblin all contributed.
